When in the south I saw multitudes of these solar powered plate readers usually rural road intersections..Just a few showing up in more populated areas in Maine.I just learned what they were called and their use.Are you seeing these elsewhere?I am not concerned as long as we maintain our freedoms .I read that these are used in countries like China to control human movement.Most here have no idea on their existence.
It is a private company doing what they please while being paid by the government to put them up and monitor for one thing, but they aren't limited to what they can do. Sell to advertisers? They have. Sell footage online? They have. Report you for things on your property? They have.
