Southeast Colorado | At Christmas time I got a full set of the Icon ratcheting combination wrenches from Harbor Freight. I've just started using them lately and man they are cool! I hope they hold up. They are the style that is shaped exactly like a regular combo wrench, and have a little flipper on the box end for reversing. The ratchet teeth are really fine so you don't have to move it far for a click. I flipped a drawbar over on an old 4020 tractor yesterday that probably hadn't been done, perhaps forever. The bracket that holds the pin down underneath had two 3/8 bolts that were way too close to the belly of the tractor to get a socket in there. My 9/16 wrench took them loose smooth as a whistle!
I've never cared for any other style of ratcheting wrenches. They're just too clumsy. But these are going to be great............as long as they don't break. | |
