| Most of the mystery of how the Pyramids were built is a result of highly educated buffons with more money than brains and experience.
A number of years ago they were going on and on about how no one knew how the Egytians could build things "Laser Straight" until a mason dressed in rags arrived with some homespun twine. He pounded in two stakes and stretched the twine out and poof - a straight line. Things got real quiet fast.
Recently Josh Gates showed a picture found inside an Egytian tomb that depicted the large blocks of stone the Pyramids are built of being pulled up a greased wooden runway. They tried it out with about 20 or so onlookers (some old, some young) and they were RUNNING up a slope. There was nothing to it!
On a similar note many scholars that know nothing about sailing have repeatedly conjectured that early sailors and explorers sailed close to shore since they could not navigate. Total hogwash. They could navigate and the landluber brainiacks did not know what any sailor knows - following a shore with a ship is suicide. Almost all sinkings are in shallow water. | |
