NCKS | Used to be mostly ammonia and urea 25 years ago when everyone was full tillage 90% continuous wheat. Ammonia almost completely went away as people went notill and added fall crops and was replaced by uan. The last 5 years Ammonia has had a huge come back with striptill and notill applicators and urea use has fallen off substantially. If I were to guess, this area would be 50% uan, 30% Ammonia and 20% urea without iran war probably going to be closer to 60% liquid and 40% Ammonia now.
We run almost exclusively liquid but have the dry equipment. Logistical hurdles have kept us out of the Ammonia market but I can see us investing in the equipment if the economics the past 2 years becomes the norm. | |
