Fairfield County, Ohio, USA | Regarding precision technology (the stuff we are using on our tractors/implements), the only subscriptions I have are for Ag Leader's AgFiniti Essentials, which is currently $420/yr, and a cell SIM from DAC ("Data Activation Center") for $20/mo. Neither are strictly required, but they make things much faster and easier.
The equipment costs up-front are indeed expensive. Probably $15kish per tractor for an auto steer setup, brand new. But it could be had somewhat less expensively if you buy used.
