Subject: RE: 1510 Sheyenne augers

Northeast ND
Had a 1410 for two years. Built heavy, everything about it seemed heavier than standard augers. Very smooth, quiet auger to run. I thought capacity of 13" model was less than equivalent Westfield. I don't think the swing hopper is as aggressive as a Westfield at feeding the main auger. Swing hopper wasn't as long as a Westfield.

We went back to Westfield with a reverser gearbox, since we raise a lot of seed and had more trouble getting the Sheyenne cleaned out. With the flighting suspended in the tube, had to flush a lot of grain through between varieties.
