Subject: RE: one blade razors

West Central, IL
I recently went down a tiktok rabbit hole and ordered one. It was about $7 off amazon I bought a 100 pack of Dorco blades for about $8. You may want to look in to single blade razor shaving kits on amazon they are around $20 and you get a lot of extra stuff.

I bought it for the same reason you did, a multiblade will plug easily. The single blade doesn't plug but there is definitely a learning curve. I do feel like it's easier to get nicks then a disposable razor, but they also say it takes a little time for your skin to get adapted to it. So far the downsides are not that bad, I want it to work and plan to keep using it and hope my skin adapts. I ended up getting the Proraso pre shave, shave soap and after shave which I think has helped some. The Dorco blades are also much better than the free ones that came with the razor.

For years I would go every Friday to a barber and get a beard trim and a shave with a straight razor, my barber is moving so I'm back to doing it myself. I shave once a week and the razor doesn't plug. Before I started going to the barber I would shave once a week with a disposable single blade then finish with a pass with a 5 blade.
