I am all for anything that helps capture all the scofflaws running around the country.
In my opinion this is the sales pitch that entices so many people to accept these types of systems. They seem benign to anyone that is not a current target. The issue is that once they are accepted who gets to decide what qualifies a person as a scofflaw that is in need of capture?
The “for the greater good” argument can be made for anything that the majority of the general population can be convinced of, whether it’s true or not. It is a very, very slippery slope. |
