Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49 | He started out fine but didn't suck. So I tubed him with colostrum, he still didn't suck later, so I gave him more colostrum. We thought we saw him maybe trying to suck but didn't stay after it. Tub him again this morning with just powered milk also give a bolus. He seems tobe ok just slow.
Now I'm wonder if she has mastitis is why he's not eating. If I milk her how can I tell if it is mastitis, will the milk show me anything. Never had a cow with mastitis.
This afternoon we are going to get him started on a bottle. And check the cows milk. Will I need to get the milk tested, or can I tell by looking.
