Subject: RE: Fire hose to wash equipment

We wash the milk parlor out with a 1.25” rubber hose, no nozzle just male cam lock on the end. Can’t remember ever trying a nozzle. Also works good for washing equipment, if something is really dirty will use it before and maybe after the pressure washer. Hooked to 10hp irrigation pump 60 psi at the pump. Problem the last few years is getting good hoses, used to get 5+ years out of them. Now after about a year the red outside starts peeling off, about 2-2.5 years it it’s coming off in big chunks leaving just the black inner liner. I wouldn’t want to go much bigger if you’re dragging it around very far.
