NST is what you want, National Standpipe Thread. Will fit right onto 1 1/2” pipe thread (NPT.)

NST can be found on standpipe hose in buildings. Unless the local Fire Department specifically requires something different.

Reason being the Fire Department can take a hose bundle from their rig into a building and hook to the hose cabinet or 1 1/2 standpipe connection with no adapters.

Some municipal fire departments use exclusively NST threads on their smaller lines for this reason.

If you can get a couple of length of this hose it would make it easy to adapt to whatever you have.

I’d check with your local fire department and see if they have any hose that they are replaceing. Should be able to get it for cheap or free. They may even have some plastic standpipe nozzles they would give you.
