| Have a calf that was born yesterday mid morning. Found it laying on its side, very weak, faint eyed and unable to stand. Has yet to stand does try a very little bit but just ends up flopping around and laying on its side. It drank half a bottle of colostrum and has been tubed with a quart 3 times since and won’t really suck very strong anymore.
I have yet to see any improvement. Calf is breathing but won’t hold its head up and just flops around on its side. If you pick it up you can hear the milk in its stomach just sloshing around.
Anyone have advice? I’m worried about continuing to tube when it doesn’t seem like it’s digesting what’s already in there and I know that tubing too often is not a good thing. | |
