NW Indiana | We purchased this JD 8235R in Dec 2023. We installed a trimble FMX and nav controller from our old tractor into this one using the CAN plug by the right side window for autosteer. At first it worked fine but then it started getting glitchy. The JD display starts alarming and displays the two screens in the attached pics. You can hit accept, it tends to come back and work again only to again fail and set off the alarm and screens. This can happen many many times and drives the operator crazy. We had our local JD technician out several times. They tried many things, one of which was swapping the steering controller but nothing they fixed it. I have visualized or put hands on all of the cab harness that can be found with out removing the cab, this means I tore out the interior and removed every panel I could. I found a few minor wiring issues and repaired them all. The issue remains. JD shop wants to remove the cab and replace the cab harness at a cost of roughly $10,000 without a guarantee that this will fix it. I am hoping that someone either has had a similar issue and can share the remedy or knows of a very knowledgeable technician that can assist. I dont mind spending the money to fix it but I want it fixed once I spend it.
