Snow and moisture is one thing. We get hit with multiple May frosts. 18th is average last killing frost. Only seed hrsw before May 10th. Difficult trying to keep canola alive with flea beetles, cold soils and frost. Pretty good luck seeding it around June 1 but messes up my weekend at Devils Run.
