They tried a monitor and found out the adhesive caused a severe skin reaction so doctor advised to not use one. I thought it was a way to force you to confront with what you eat. We're going to try some tough love and hope they see the light. I'm afraid we are at the point of them giving up.
I would highly recommend trying to find a way to make a glucose sensor work. There is a lot of info online about skin reactions to the adhesives used on these sensors and I know these companies have changed the types of adhesives used in order to reduce skin reactions. I don’t know how severe of a reaction you are talking about but spraying a layer of allergy nasal spray on the skin before applying the glucose sensor can also help with skin reactions. |
