I forget what portion of the brain is made of cholesterol but it is a major portion. And we think it is a good idea to reduce it???? Not all of the statins cross the blood brain barrier but some do.

I am wrong about a lot of things and probably wrong about this, but I think 100 years from now modern medicine will look back at cholesterol lowering drugs like todays modern medicine views blood letting or not washing hands while delivering babies after doing an autopsy. Those were once standard of care in the medical community.
