Insulin is the key. Type I has no insulin. Type II has too much insulin and insulin resistance from the excess insulin. Really two completely different diseases other than both cause excessively high blood glucose, which is a very bad thing health wise.
To lower blood glucose naturally simply do not put in the mouth the foods that cause blood glucose to rise. Namely carbohydrates. Meat protein has only very modest glucose rise and fat almost none. Carbs in excess (with excess being the key word and the amount will vary based on a person's metabolic health) are what causes blood glucose to rise the most.
Continuous glucose monitors are turning the dietetic recommendations on its head. Or maybe the old food pyramid upside down.
