Subject: RE: triglycerides to HDL ratio

southern nebraska
That's a good one. I'm on blood pressure pills and currently taking a low dose of generic crestor, it's supposed to be safe than the generic lipitor. Heart dr had me as high as 80mg of lipitor and my legs ached constantly my brain fog was horrible. Dr wanted my hdl under 75 because it was 175. He told me to stop for 30 days and call him because of the side effects. Well my hdl did go down to about 100 but it was killing me.
So 6 months later another blood test and shows back to 150 personal Dr says try crestor instead, I just said only small dose or nothing. Did 3 months blood test and hdl stabilized but triglycerides went way high. Got a call saying about cholesterol needs lowered yet but long story nothing said about the triglycerides. I see now why nothing mentioned.
I do my own scheduling for blood test at Bryan lab, I don't have to have a Dr recommended test but do it for my own. I think in the future I won't have them send my tests to Dr anymore. I know I need to lose 50 pounds again however the last time I did I really didn't feel any difference, my blood work wasn't much different either but I could put socks on easier.
