Subject: RE: Wiring harness on 1760 pulled by a 4640

Northeast Missouri
John deere has a kit with wire, relays, and instructions that you can add power to other pins in connector on tractor. If you add taillights, you will need to add a relay and T into the wiring that is in the front right side of dash. If I remember it is a blue wire coming out of the panel. If you just need power to planter disconnects add 12V power from ignition switch to the center pin and ground the top pin. I would put a relay and circuit breaker between the switch and pin. I bought the kit for my 4240 and crammed everything into the dash. On my 4640 I just bought the wire and relays and mounted everything on the wall behind of the kick panel near the door of cab.
