East Central Ia | I have thought of those as well but seems like every time we get a smaller truck we end up regretting it. Always seem to need multiple trucks capable of towing something more than a lawnmower. Multiple seed tenders, fuel trailers, skid loaders, header trailers, goosenecks etc. Not all often enough to need diesel’s, but half tons just don’t seem to have a place around here.
My son currently has my brother’s hand me down 2012 Chevy 1500 that I can’t stand to drive. Between the cylinder shutoff features and smaller displacement engine to begin with it’s terrible to drive. Feels like it can’t get out of it’s own way, down shifting and revving the rpm on every hill even under cruise control on the interstate.
Plus it has also had lifter issues.
