The monitor would have no control over that 3 prong plug but it has to get power from somewhere. Without looking at mine it either taps into your 7 pin light harness or the 37 pin monitor harness.
As far as lights get out a test light and start checking. First at the outlet on the tractor and work back from there. The light system is not that complicated on those.
