IL near StL
We had a 30' TT and when the blades wore out we replaced them with 20" Vortex blades for the same reason as you. I think they were 1.25" cut width. We loved them but we did have to be careful at times with depth. If the ground was a wet it would go a little deeper and with the wider flute, it would bring up larger chunks, not huge but at that point we usually felt like we needed to hit it again once it aired out some before we planted. The 3/4" flutes on the normal TT blades didn't do that but they also didn't move as much dirt. Again, we really liked the blades, just had to relearn how to use the tool depending on what we were trying to accomplish. As far as where to buy them, based on a very fast internet search it looks like Barndoor Ag and Larsen Lights are vendors for them.
