I have a 16 powerstroke that has been trouble free I got rid of the def I have looked at going back to a gas 7.3 friend has a 7.3 gas and it pulls but going camping this summer he had to fill up twice as much as me I think no matter what you buy gas or diesel maintenance is key I change oil every 5,000 and fuel filters every 10,000
