I can understand the diesel need at high elevation.The less oxygen for a nat aspirated gas could make it a bit of a dog.I do think the arid areas have better luck with diesels as well,IDK why.Loved the old duramax and have a couple left here but they look like you could double up the cats shoved thru the fenders and still fit a 3rd.
