Many threads on this subject here.
Lots of things to consider.
If not pulling heavy loads I see no need for a diesel.
There are plenty of high mileage durable gas engines out there.
6.0 GMs for 1. They don't die.


I LOVE my dsl pickup. But I try to only use it when needed. DSL pickups are NOT CHEAP to run. 2002 F-350 7.3 psd. 90k area. I would not buy a new dsl pickup. Yep I said it.
There are older gas pickups with fair milage. The cost of having an engine put in gas truck is not terrible.
Modern cars, trucks are amazing. When everything works. Basic, simple has its place on farm.
