Holly Hill, SC | I would consider designing the same as adding a fence tip to the boom. You can wire it to a solenoid and have it run with a toggle switch or just simply have it feed off your end boom section. If you run it like you want without a solenoid, you will not have the ability to spray accurately along edges of yard and other crops.
For just 5' you can probably get by with a tee jet OC-06 or 08 tip. This is an offset tip that gives a nice pattern if mount at about 45 degrees. Look at the charts and try to match your rate with your other tips. Also the Hypro fast cap fence tip is another option. They have gotten over price at $60 is why I have changed to the OC tips.
Adjust your boom width to included the extra fence tip and your rates should be close.
