The way I understand it is flushed with water between sucking in each chem.
The drawback for me on these systems is what to do with or how to handle the gallons of straight chem in a 15' piece of 1" line that is sitting full once the tote is empty or I need to change out totes to another kind, say between corn /beans chem.
