Major differences between 8x70 and 9x00 jd tractor? Which one was more reliable? Which felt like it had more power?
Back in the day we went from an 8960 with the Twin Disc powersh1t and Cummins engine to a 9400 with the 24 speed and of course 12.5. We felt the 9400 was superior in every way not to say the 8960 was a bad tractor because it was a huge step above the 976 that came before it. But the 9400 was nicer to run and ran/started better more responsive
