All the 1903’s I’ve seen have 3176 cats. Mine had a torque boost transmission, which is an 18 speed with a torque converter and outboard planetary’s. The driveline is stout in the 19’s. 1803 used John Deere rear ends which were problematic and either John Deere or Cummins engines.

As cheap as the 8103’s have gotten that’s the route I’d go. So much nicer to run.

Ive never seen a deere engine in an early1803? We have one with a 3208 and another with the 8.3 cummins
