south texas | I've done it with success. Need to make some shims for the pin so the cutter has a center to go by or weld a peice in the hoke for center. It needs to be secured to get hole started. By looking at your pic, welding a peice in there looks like a better option. U do need a good stable place for mag and I even c clamp mine down for extra holding force. Cut a bigger hole than your worn spot so cutter is pulling evenly across the circle.
Be sure to find your true center or its not gonna line up. If u weld something in the hole, get a small long drill bit to run between both ears as a straight line. Old holes don't have to be exactly center but new ones do.
