Newer technology *just* for the sake of newer technology is rarely a good idea. We have a Loup Elite on our Deere drill, and for soybeans, it's *fantastic*. (It's not so great for rye / cover crops.) Running a wire between the tractor and the drill isn't exactly complicated. Nor is using a sensor to count soybeans.
