| After a long retirement and poorly conditioned too heavy of carcass , I thought of a much needed project of repiping the water supply pipes. After standing on first step of fiberglass 5’ step ladder for a couple weeks my feet vigourously protested being bent over in the middle. (Size 13 1/2 boats standing on 3” step). Also aggrevated by flatest feet ever.
Finished the job and went promptly to the Dr. He gave me a walking boot. I asked how long do I wear this. Answer was in YOUR case a LONG time. Seems I stretched my tendons or ligaments in the front and side of right foot. Didnt know one foot could hurt that much.
Dr. Said either the boot fixes it evenially or I do with surgery to reattach or shorten affected tendons etc.
Has anyone experienced such injury? I dont see what the boot is going to correct. To drive anywhere have to take boot off and put on shoe then switch back when I get there again. And again and its quite a feat to get on and off.
Any other suggestions to help it heal faster? | |
