Subject: Engineers or bean counters??

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS
Just changed the oil in my wife’s 2011 Traverse. Every time I do that job it makes me want to hurt someone. The drain plug is fine, but the filter location is the worst I have ever seen. My 97 Nissan pickup that you had to jack up, remove the right front tire, and go through the wheel well to get to the filter was easier. This thing has the filter right next to where the exhaust comes off the manifold right above the motor mount where it attaches to the cross member. Oil runs down across the motor mount and goes everywhere. No way to do the job without making a mess.
