| Endrows on a quarter bordering the neighbors wildlife habitat are usually about a third of the rest of the field. Haven't you ever seen the seeds dug out along borders? Using field view it cost me over $5k on a particular bad year. Night and day difference on the endrows where there was C/B bordering instead. I tried replanting, spreading corn for feed etc.
Imported species, the only difference between a promoted species (pheasant) and a nuisance (Asian carp) is how they taste.
If coyotes are eating baby calves they've either already died or it's bad cattle management. Not enough cows or too big of a pasture with not enough low wires to keep the newborn's in, etc. | |
