Here in nebr they call it inheritance tax. Kicks in at 100,000 per individual that inherited. Has a different percentage for siblings,grandkids, nephew,niece, friend. Expenses come first. Rural wants to get rid of it but the big cities like the flow of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ it brings in.
