Central ND | Check for 220 power between the 2 power leads on the wall outlet. You could have a bad breaker or fuse upstream. The ones I have had use 120v for the control panel and 240V for the heating element. Therefore the motor and control can run if you are missing the second power input from the wall socket.
> Do you have 120 volts to ground on each of the heating element wires to ground? And then 240 volts going to the element while turned on by measuring BETWEEN the two input wires to the heating element? The driers I have messed with control the heating by dropping the voltage to only one leg of the heating element (240 volt input).Therefore even with the drier in off position you can get a shock off of one lead of the heating element(120 volts or half of the 240 volt requirement, because it drops on power lead input to turn off the element)V | |
