I have a metal working pen that is 100 ft or so below where a smaller TVA transmission line crosses a hollar. The pen is unusable if it is raining. Every bare metal you touch will eats you up and the cows don't like it either. I would assume if I put in some ground rods that would help, but it gives a good reason not to work cows in that pen in the rain.
