Lone Wolf Ok | Due to poor management and lack of Board of Director's oversight - ours isn't far behind -- 'Had to get bigger' - Had to have the biggest Gin in the State. Sold our soul (Grain Marketing) to CEA -- became a 'storage and handling' facility.
On 4th Manager in few years time - don't blame them for getting out.
Since we all now have Semi's and there are other suppliers of Fertilizer that deliver directly to the farm - the old philosophy of 'you have to do business locally' is gone - Competitive then yes - otherwise -- My $$ are also important to me.
Several years ago they had a $4 Million payroll -- turned out lot's of sitting around instead of the CO-OP philosophy of working different jobs @ CO-OP over the course of the year -- Gin/Fertilizer/Cleaning Wheat/Elevator.
