Central and N.E. ND
Quite a bit further North here, but I live in a sandy development that was pasture before. I see people who don't water anything near their house. I see it as able to burn pretty easy out there, so I try to keep some green grass near the house. Real small trees, so I have been watering them to keep them growing, but also because I have moved about 30 of them total for a building project.

Dug down 8' from native hillside to level for a building plus dig in the concrete foundation wall for it, sugar sand plus a tiny bit of clay the whole way down. Was wild, back home we would have had water table to deal with.
