I had to laugh when local news (covering Iowa/Iowa State/Illinois) said something about a big number of B10 teams making it this far.
Well yeah when the conference is huge, of course they'll have a lot of teams. It's like NFL season records now that there are more games in a season. Of course people are getting more sacks, passing yards, etc when there's more opportunities.
As you can expect, I'm an Iowa State fan. Pulling for Houston and Nebraska in this round in that region and then Houston again of course. Can't see Iowa win tonight nor see Hoiberg get any farther than that and not be in Ames for it
So what other conference has a third of its members in the sweet 16?????
Throughout the season the big ten was well represented in the top 25.
Look at how well the Big ten did in the football playoffs.
The Big Ten is THE DOMINANT CONFERENCE.
