Yes they have corn that has colonies of bacteria that fix nitrogen commercially available. We grew some last year. They had a limited seed supply.

We were told not to fertilize too much N ahead or it would have a yield drag, but we spread litter over the whole field. Split the planter, and sure enough, it was a 30+bu yield drag compared to the Champion number next to it. But who knows how it would compare if it was in an N limiting environment.

I talked to the scientist who was breeding the corn at a conference. He had some good info. I'll need to dig up his name and information again.
