When I was the boss on the farm, I avoided becoming an unsecured creditor.
That means no pre-pay and no deferred payment for grain. I wasn't quite as diligent as one old fellow that would deliver a 120 bu. load of grain and then wait for the check to be cut before he left the elevator but as soon as my contract was filled, I wanted my check. 
I believe a vehicle in a shop, that was being worked on would put you in the list of unsecured creditors.
