I saw that video where they claimed a bunch of it had little to no Berberine in it. But who knows??? They say nothing about the method used to validate it. They may have well been full of crap as likely that the berberine sellers were dishonest.
Even at best, it is only a minor improvement as is metformin. It is no miracle drug either for blood glucose control. Only minor improvement.
My understanding is, the more insulin resistant a person is, the better the supplement or drug works. My last fasting insulin test was 9 so based on that I am unlikely to be very insulin resistant anyway. So based on that information, maybe I shouldn't expect much benefit.
Edit: according to the blood test anything under 25 is considered "normal", which is complete BS. The doctors I follow say single digits is good. Down around 4-6 ideal, depending on who you listen to.
