We take it first sign of any cold. Like you, usually symptoms go away in first couple days and I will quit taking it. Basically take it till symptoms go away or a week, whichever comes first.

The more I am finding out about it, I would not be afraid to take it longer if I felt the need. Cancer or anything as bad as that I for sure would. But I've always tried not taking any more of it than needed, not fully knowing any long term negatives. But the more I learn, the less concerned I am about longer term usage if needed.

I think one of the big help's during covid was the antiinflammatory effect helping prevent or reduce the cytokine storm.
