The only thing I don't miss about rural water is the bill. I know several hog barns hooked on to rural water as a backup and eventually switched to it as the sole source since it was more reliable and the hogs gained better. The only downside is a monthly bill, everything else is generally a win. If they announced rural water here today I would be calling immediately to hook on.
