That is how it went here, we had ok well water but signed up for the service, back then it was only $500 one time to get a "membership" per meter, now it is $15k. $40 a month regardless of use, then a set rate per 1,000 gallons.
It is nice to have a backup. We switch between it and the well quite a bit because they hired some unionized joke that took 3x longer than they should and did a poor job as well.
You may not use it but those after you may, or you may need it the day they are coming down your driveway.
Ask where it is coming from. Across the river, the Cass County Rural Water comes from a few different places, the water out of Page is great, a little hard, but very good tasting. The rural water out of Fargo...eh. | |
