I have to agree. I think in the next century all of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, S Dakota, and Illinois is going to be one continuous farm plot. There will be several big Shed/Shops scattered about, filled with Tractors, Planters, Sprayers, Combines, etc. All AI automated units. The Corporation, or Government, or whoever, determines agricultural needs, plugs it into an AI software, and then business starts. AI tractors go out and do the work. The AI uses Weather patterns, satellite imagery, imagery off equipment, historical data to make agronomy decisions. Meanwhile all the people that previous spent their lives working the land are moved to 10-minute cities where there is no individual ownership and you're under surveillance almost every breathing minute.

Dramatic maybe... But there are definitely people who dream about this type of society. "You will own nothing and you will be happy." And sadly most people will.
