Guys.. we’re at the point in Apollo 13 that we’ve realized the main ship.. the straits of Hormuz.. is dead.  “We light that up.. it’s over..”

You don’t need to be worried about this year's fertilizer.. you need to consider how to survive the next 3 years or how ever long it’s gonna take to build infrastructure.. pipelines.. rail roads.. pack mule trains.. whatever around the straits.

all it takes is a mullah in a dingy with an rpg to keep the straits closed..  you can bomb Iran till infinity and that WILL STILL BE THE CASE!!!

Were going to have to go AROUND the straits..

Face it.. we’re Russia.. Iran is Ukraine with Drones.. only problem for us is.. the fight is half a globe away.. and we need like 10 x s the ships to even have a chance at eliminating ALL THE DINGY fishing boats in the region.. that will take decades.. if ever..

the only real option is to go around the straits.. and y’all.. that will not be easy..

Good luck to us all..

You do realize the "dingy" part is what we, the US and Navy, prepared for starting in the 1990s? Its the $2 drones that is the main concern.

And Iran has adjusted since the 1990s which.. they were on OUR side as we took it to their enemy Iraq.

This is NOT going to be easy to crack open.. then KEEP open.. especially with any of a multitude of options which can be used.. including drones.  We have to win.. 100 out of 100 attacks.. they only have to win 1.

Those odds are bad enough that even with The US back stopping insurance.. you have to find crews brave enough to run it.

The other real problem is that 10% of the worlds shipping.. is stuck in the gulf.. limiting our ability right now to ship alternatives.. but yes the US is the least impacted.. still if we crack the straits open.. it will take 6 months to get back to normal.

A year from now.. I doubt we’ll be back to “normal.”  But we’ll see..
