Illinois | The Fraud was the big Swine deal they put on, on a operation based in SD (outside of their territory) to a outfit that was owned by a Canadian company (another Red FLag, there are restrictions in dealing with non US owned Companies) This is a prime example that the so called smart people in these organizations are not smart. They were chasing volume and that was it. Big deals if you can get the right people behind them get shoved right on through without any true understanding of the credit risk or the character of the borrower.
I can tell so many stories of these big deals going bad quickly and no one involved every loses their gigs.
