id never get it 3" deep here, tried 2.5 deep in 22' and even that was tough, it eventually rained by may 10th and then everyone was going like mad. I'd hold out a couple weeks if you can, I think april has better moisture chances for midwest, a big ridge to our west just wont move and let any moisture in the central midwest
